How to apply PNG and JPEG to a single material | Blender

Hello, in this article, you will learn how to apply PNG and JPEG to a single material using the alpha.

Let’s start..

Step: 1 – Take a plane. Unwrap the UV. And apply a material.

Step: 2 – Go to the ‘Shader Editor’. In the ‘Add’, go to the ‘Color’, and click on the ‘Mix Color’. Add the ‘Mix Color’ node to the ‘Principled BSDF’ as shown in the image.

Step: 3 – These images were downloaded from the website: https://pixabay.com/
Note: These two images are changed to the same in size 510 x 510.

Step: 4 – Drag and drop the PNG to ‘Shader Editor’, and duplicate the PNG by clicking the ‘Shift+D’. Connect the ‘Color’ of one PNG to the ‘B’ of the ‘Mix Color’ node. Connect the ‘Alpha’ of another PNG to the ‘Factor’ of the ‘Mix Color node’ as shown in the image.

Step: 5 – Drag and Drop the JPEG to the ‘Shader Editor’. Connect the ‘Color’ of the JPEG to the ‘A’ of the ‘Mix Color’ node as shown in the image.

Step: 6 – Let’s check the object in the ‘Material Preview’ Mode.
