How to use the Mirror modifier in Blender

In this article, you will learn two methods of using mirror modifier.

Method – 1

Step 1: Open blender. Select the object.

Step 2: Go to modifiers properties, and add the Mirror modifier.

Step 3: Select the object.

Step 4: Click the ‘Tab’ key for edit mode.

Step 5: Click the ‘G’ key, and move the object where you want to keep it.

Method – 2

Step 1: Click ‘Shift + A’. In the ‘Empty’, select ‘Plain Axis’.

You can see the ‘Plain Axis’, by clicking ‘G’ and moving or middle of the object or at the ‘3D Cursor’

Step 2: Select the cube. Add ‘Mirror modifier’. In the ‘Mirror Object’.

Step 3: In the ‘Mirror Object’, select ‘Empty’

Step 4: Now you can move the object in ‘Object Mode’ and ‘Edit Mode’ also.

  1. Thanks a lot but my question is different. I just asked you how to increase or decrease the gap between two mirror objects.

    1. You have to follow 2nd method, then you can decrease and increase the gap between them.
