Hello,
In this article, you will learn two methods of using mirror modifier.
Method – 1
Step 1: Open blender. Select the object.

Step 2: Go to modifiers properties, and add the Mirror modifier.

Step 3: Select the object.

Step 4: Click the ‘Tab’ key for edit mode.

Step 5: Click the ‘G’ key, and move the object where you want to keep it.

Method – 2
Step 1: Click ‘Shift + A’. In the ‘Empty’, select ‘Plain Axis’.

You can see the ‘Plain Axis’, by clicking ‘G’ and moving or middle of the object or at the ‘3D Cursor’

Step 2: Select the cube. Add ‘Mirror modifier’. In the ‘Mirror Object’.

Step 3: In the ‘Mirror Object’, select ‘Empty’

Step 4: Now you can move the object in ‘Object Mode’ and ‘Edit Mode’ also.

Thanks a lot but my question is different. I just asked you how to increase or decrease the gap between two mirror objects.
You have to follow 2nd method, then you can decrease and increase the gap between them.
