How to use HDRI Lighting and Render Settings
Hello all, in this article you will learn how to use HDRI as the ‘Environment Texture’. And you will know easy render settings.
Let’s start..
I modeled and textured this scene before. Now I am going to tell you some easy lighting with HDRI and render settings for this scene. This is the ‘Material Preview’.
Step: 1 – Go to the ‘Output Properties’.
Step: 2 – Change the ‘Resolution’ how much pixels or quality you want. For me, 1024×1024 is enough.
Step: 3 – Go to the ‘Render Properties’.
Step: 4 – Go to the ‘Render Properties’. Select the ‘Cycles’ in the ‘Render Engine’. Select the ‘GPU Compute’ in the ‘Device’. In the ‘Viewport’, you can change the ‘Max Samples’ for the preview of the scene. In the ‘Render’, you can change the ‘Max Samples’ according to your system configuration.
Step: 5 – In the ‘Film’, tick to the ‘Transparent’. This is used when you want the ‘PNG’ format. Now go to the ‘Color Management’. Select the ‘Filmic’ in the ‘View Transform’. And Select the ‘Very High Contrast’ in the ‘Look’.
Step: 6 – Go to the ‘World Properties’, select the ‘Environment Texture’ in the ‘Color’.
Step:7 – Click on the ‘Open’.
Step: 8 – I used Blender software’s default ‘forest HDRI’. Blender HDRI images will be found in your installation folder: Windows – C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender (version)\(version)\datafiles\studiolights\worldSelect HDRI. Or select your HDRI.
Step: 9 – Select the ‘HDRI’, and click on the ‘Open Image’.
Step: 10 – Click on the ‘0’ on the number pad to see the scene through the camera. In the ‘View’, untick to the ‘Camera to view’, and adjust the view.
Step: 11 – Tick to the ‘Camera to View’ ot lock the camera. Click on the ‘Render Preview’.
Step: 12 – Go to the ‘Render’, click on the ‘Render Image’.
Step: 13 – After rendering is completed, go to the ‘Image’, and click on the ‘Save’. Save the file where you want.
